Woman agrees to water mum's garden - then gets hilarious set of 'instructions'

When preparing for a holiday, there are lots of things that must be considered - from checking the passports to packing enough sun cream.

But one woman from Southampton seems to have something very different on her mind ahead of a big trip.

Her plants.

Yep, you read that right.

Grace Burton has revealed that her mother is so concerned about her beloved garden that she's gone as far as to create a very unique set of instructions for watering plants in her absence.

And it's fair to say the whole thing is pretty hilarious.

The whole thing was like a business transaction (@Graceburton/Twitter)

Mum's brutal rant about Aldi - and her reasons why we should 'never shop there'

In a post on Twitter , Grace gave her followers a look at the bizarre email she'd received from her mum, containing watering instructions in the form of a flow chart.

Alongside this, she wrote: "Agreed to water my mum's garden whilst she's on holiday and she's just gone and emailed me an ENTIRE STANDARD OPERATING PROCEDURE. There's a FLOW CHART. I can't."

Her mum, in a very business-like manor thanks Grace for her "willing cooperation", before delving into everything.

Among basic steps such as entering the garden and picking up the hose pipe, she instructs her daughter of the order in which to water each plant - starting with the plant stand in the corner, before moving on to geraniums and violas an so on.

People have branded it 'genius' (@Graceburton/Twitter)

A bemused Grace adds: "I genuinely have no idea what the plants she's listed look like, I'm this close to asking for an appendix."

The tweet has already been liked over 250 times, with dozens praising the mum for the way she handled the situation.

One person commented: "Love your mum. Genius."

A second said: "This is MAGNIFICENT."

Couple ask neighbours to cook for them and do housework as they're having a baby

"Comprehensive. No excuse for messing it up. No pressure," added a third.

Others joked that her mother had made it seem like she would be taking care of something else.

"You sure you aren't actually watering Kew Gardens," asked another entertained user.

And in the end, even Grace herself had to admit the whole thing was brilliant, branding her parent a "professional troll".
