Woman admits kicking police officer after illegal rave in Brixton

A woman has admitted assaulting a police officer in the aftermath of an illegal rave in south London.

Natasha Agyekum, 24, of Peckford Place, Brixton, appeared at Croydon Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, where she admitted kicking a police officer at around 1am on June 25 near Angell Town, Brixton.

Agyekum pleaded not guilty to two other counts of assault over allegations that she punched one police officer and scratched another.

She spoke in court to confirm her name and date of birth.

Agyekum was granted unconditional bail and was told to appear at Inner London Crown Court on October 7.

Videos of the rave in Angel Town in June were shared online showing police vehicles being smashed and officers pelted with bottles during violent clashes with a large crowd.

More than 22 emergency workers were injured.
