One woman is seriously injured and another is in hospital under police guard after an alleged arson attack in northern Victoria.
Victoria Police say a 20-year-old woman is believed to have been set on fire at Middlesex Crescent in Shepparton at 6.30am on Monday.
She suffered serious injures and was airlifted to hospital for treatment.
A 33-year-old woman, also from Shepparton, is accused of fleeing the scene before being found nearby.
She was also flown to hospital by helicopter and remains under police guard.
Specialist investigators from the arson and explosives squad are working to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
