Woman, 90s, dies in house fire on Swords Road near Kealy's pub, Dublin Airport

An elderly woman in her 90s has died following a house fire in north Dublin last night.

Gardai and Fire Services attended the fatal blaze at a house in Corballis, Cloghran on the Swords Road near Kealy's pub at around 11pm.

Brave firefighters from Swords, Finglas and Kilbarrack attended the blaze near Dublin Airport.

A spokeswoman confirmed to Dublin Live that foul play is not suspected

She said: "Gardaí and fire services attended a fatal house fire in Corballis, Cloghran Co Dublin on the 12 November 2019 at approximately 11.20pm.

"A woman in her 90s was fatally injured in the fire. Foul play not suspected."

In a statement to Dublin Live, Dublin Fire Brigade said: "Overnight firefighters from three stations attended a serious house fire on the Swords Road. Crews from Swords, Finglas & Kilbarrack on scene."
