Woman, 87, missing after leaving Royal Hospital on her own

A pensioner has not been seen after she left the Royal Hospital on her own.

Police are becoming concerned for Eileen Purslow who was last spotted near the hospital shortly after 10.30am on Monday morning.

The 87-year-old is from Liverpool , but is known to go to Egerton Park in Rock Ferry, Ellesmere Port market, Birkenhead bus station and the Morrisons in New Brighton.

She is described as a white female and 5ft 4in tall with short grey hair.

When last seen, Eileen was wearing a lime green jumper, a grey gilet, black trousers and black shoes.

She was also carrying a bag and may possibly be wearing a blue hat.

A spokesperson for Merseyside Police said: "We are appealing for help to trace a woman missing from home in Liverpool.

"87-year-old Eileen Purslow was last seen at around 10.35am today, Monday, 16 December, at the Royal Liverpool University Hospital.

"She is known to frequent the Egerton Park area of Rock Ferry, Ellesmere Port market, Birkenhead bus station and Morrison’s in New Brighton."

Officers are becoming increasingly concerned for Eileen’s whereabouts and Eileen, or anyone who has seen her, is asked to contact @MerPolCC, 101 with log 331 or the charity @missingpeople on 116 000.
