Woman, 85, robbed by man who pushed her to the ground in Henbury

An elderly woman has been robbed of her handbag containing cash and bank cards after being pushed to the floor.

The 85-year-old was shoved from behind as she entered a property on Crow Lane, Henbury, on Friday (October 18).

A man wearing a dark hoodie or coat then took her handbag between 9.25pm and 9.40pm.

Investigating officer PC Richard Allen said: “While thankfully the victim didn’t suffer any significant physical injuries, she has been left very shaken by this incident.

“If you were in the area around the time and saw anything suspicious I urge you to contact us.”

A police appeal reads: "If you can help, please call 101 and give the call handler the reference number 5219241885.

"You can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers 100 per cent anonymously on 0800 555 111 or via their Anonymous Online Form.

"No personal details are taken, information cannot be traced or recorded and you will not go to court or have to speak to police when contacting Crimestoppers."
