A woman has died after the car she was driving crashed into a building at an Ayrshire retail park.
Police have today confirmed that Jean Walker passed away at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow yesterday following the incident on Wednesday morning.
The 85-year-old Irvine woman's motor hit a building at the Riverway Retail Park in Irvine just before 10am.
Emergency services shut down the busy retail park near Tesco with two people being taken to hospital at the time.

A 77-year-old male pedestrian suffered minor injuries in the incident.
An eyewitness told Ayrshire Live: "There were a number of emergency service vehicles on the scene, at least a couple of ambulances.
"Traffic was being diverted away from the retail park, and from what I saw, there was no way into the car park near Tesco."
Police are now appealing for witnesses.
Sergeant Craig Beaver from road policing said: “Our thoughts are with Jean’s family and friends at this difficult time.
“We are keen to speak with anyone who was in the retail park at the time, or has dash cam footage of the incident, to get in touch via 101 quoting incident reference 0821 of October 6, 21.”
