A pensioner who was struck by a motorcycle earlier last week has tragically died.
The 75-year-old woman has been named locally as Tressa McKernan.
She was hit by a motorcycle on Ballinteer Avenue, Dublin 16 on April 8 at around 7.45pm.
Gardai say that she passed away in hospital yesterday.
A garda spokesman said: "Gardai at Dundrum Garda Station are renewing their appeal for witnesses following a fatal collision in Balinteer on the 8th April 2019.
"At approximately 7.45pm a female pedestrian, Tressa McKernan aged 75, was seriously injured when she was struck by a motorcycle on Ballinteer Avenue, Dublin 16.

"It’s understood she had just alighted from a bus and was attempting to cross the road when the collision occurred."
The motorcyclist, a man in his 30s, was taken to St Vincent’s Hospital where he was treated for minor injuries.
Gardai have appealed for any witnesses to contact Dundrum Garda station.
