A woman in her 70s has died after being hit by a car in Navan, Co Meath.
The incident happened at 1.25pm today in the Kilcarn Court area of Navan. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene and no other injuries have been reported.
The road is currently closed to traffic and local diversions are in place. Gardai remain at the scene and Forensic Collision Investigators are expected to arrive in the near future.

A garda spokesman said: "Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to come forward. Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling in the Kilcarn Court area between 1pm and 1:45pm are asked to make this footage available to Gardaí."
