A pensioner has died in hospital 10 days after a car crash
Kathleen Marshall was seriously injured when her car was involved in a collision with an HGV and another car in Ashington .
The 70-year-old, from Morpeth, was taken to hospital following the smash, which happened at around 10.55am on January 8.
But she died as a result of her injuries on Saturday.
Police have now renewed their appeal for witnesses to the collision, involving a yellow Peugeot 1007, a black Vauxhall Zafira and a HGV.
It happened at the junction of Woodhorn Lane and Wansbeck Hospital.
"Our experienced family liaison officers continue to offer them support, and I would ask that their privacy is respected as they come to terms with their loss.
"We are committed to finding out the circumstances behind the collision, and as a result I am appealing to any witnesses who have yet to come forward to pick up the phone and get in touch.
"Your information, however small or insignificant you may feel it is, could prove crucial as we look to establish the cause of the collision and the events that immediately preceded it.”
