Woman, 65, found after being missing for more than seven hours

Police have confirmed a woman who had gone missing in Bristol on Thursday (August 12) has been located safe and well.

Maria was last seen in the St George area of Bristol at about 3.30pm yesterday (Thursday).

Avon and Somerset Police said she may still be in the surrounding area, but does also have links with Weston-super-Mare.

In a statement, police said: "We are asking for the public to help us find missing Maria, 65, from Bristol.

"She was last seen at about 3.30 pm in the church Road area of St George.

"Her disappearance is out of character."

Police confirmed today (August 13) that Maria had been located safe and well and thanked everyone who shared the appeal and called in with information for their assistance.
