Woman, 60s, fighting for life after being hit by a car in Bandon, Co Cork

A woman is fighting for her life after being hit by a car in Co Cork.

The woman, in her 60s, was rushed to Cork University Hospital with serious injuries after a collision yesterday.

The incident happened on Kilbrogan Hill in Bandon at around 3pm.

A garda spokesman said they are currently investigating the incident.

The road was closed for a time yesterday evening as Gardai undertook a forensic examination but has since reopened.
