Police are investigating the sudden death of a 57-year-old woman after she was found dead outside her home in the Rhondda .
A spokesman for South Wales Police said the woman was found outside her home on Eileen Place in Treherbert at 5.45am on Friday, December 27.
The circumstances around her death are unknown and a police investigation has been launched.
A local resident reported that there has been a continuous police presence in the area for the last few days as police continued with their investigations.
A spokesman for South Wales Police said: "Police can confirm the sudden death of a 57 year-old woman who was discovered outside her home on Eileen Place, Treherbert, at approximately 5.45am on 27 December, 2019.
"Her death is currently being treated as unexplained and an investigation into the circumstances is underway."
