Woman, 56, critical after Canaryville stabbing

A woman was in critical condition after she was stabbed Sunday in Canaryville on the South Side.

The 56-year-old was found about 11:25 a.m. in a vestibule of a building in the 4200 block of South Union Avenue, Chicago police said.

She was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center, and was listed in critical condition, police said.

The woman told investigators a man in his 20s stabbed her, police said. The motive was unknown.

No arrests have been made.
