Woman, 50s, who died in 'unexplained circumstances' in Killiney, south Dublin, was found by relative

The body of a woman who died in "unexplained circumstances" at a house in a leafy south Dublin suburb last night is believed to have been found by a relative.

The scene of the grim find on Balure Lane, Church Road, Killiney, remained cordoned off this morning as gardai continue their investigations.

Gardai said they are awaiting results of a post mortem to take place today before determining the course of their probe.

A garda spokesman told Dublin Live last night: "Gardaí at Dún Laoghaire are investigating the discovery of a body of a female in her 50s in unexplained circumstances at a house in the Killiney area earlier today Tuesday 31st March 2020.

"The house is currently preserved. The course of the investigation will be determined by the post-mortem which is scheduled to take place tomorrow Wednesday 1st April 2020.

"No further information is available at this time."
