A 50-year-old woman died after being struck by a vehicle Thursday in northwest suburban Northlake.
She was struck about 1:13 p.m. in the first block of North Avenue, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office and Northlake police.
The medical examiner’s office identified her as Mitza Lewis. She was pronounced dead at Gottleib Hospital later the same day.
Autopsy results found she died from her injuries and ruled her death an accident, according to the medical examiner’s office.
