Woman, 39, injured and windows damaged after canister explosion at Belfast home

Emergency services rushed the scene of an "explosion" that damaged a house in Belfast on Saturday night.

The incident unfolded around 11.20pm in Lagmore Meadows in the west of the city, with the police, fire service and ambulance service all attending.

A Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service spokesman told Belfast Live: "An air freshener canister left on top of a glass-fronted fire had exploded. There was nothing sinister, it was accidental.

"Two appliances attended the scene in Belfast. Two windows of the house were damaged.

"A 39-year-old female in the property at the time slipped and suffered an injury."
