Woman, 34, banned from owning a wig after stealing and assaulting people

A serial thief has been jailed and banned from town centre shops after stealing and assaulting people.

Natalie Belfield, 34, has been put in prison after pleading guilty to nine counts of theft and two charges of assault, say Greater Manchester Police's Bolton South team.

Belfield has also been forbidden from owning a wig and has been ordered to pay her assault victims compensation after she attacked them.

Belfield, of Harper Green Road, will no longer be able to enter Farnworth town centre shops or Tesco in Longcauseway.

She was sentenced to 48 weeks in prison and has been told to pay her assault victims a total of £100 in compensation, say the police.

In a statement, Bolton South officers said: "Some good news!

"Natalie Belfield, aged 34 years, of Harper Green Road, Farnworth, has been sentenced to 48 weeks in prison.

"Natalie pleaded guilty to nine counts of theft and two charges of assault and was ordered to pay her assault victims a total of £100 in compensation.

"The court has also made a criminal behaviour order which bans Natalie Belfield from Farnworth town centre shops or Tesco on Longcauseway, Farnworth for two years and also makes it an offence for her to possess or wear a wig when entering any store."
