A 34-year-old woman has been arrested after an elderly man was left in a serious condition following an attempted murder at his home.
The 76-year-old man was seriously injured following the incident at his home in Elliston Avenue, Glasgow last night (Tuesday, August 6).
Emergency services rushed to the scene and he was taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital where he is receiving treatment.
His condition has been described as serious but stable.
Police Scotland have confirmed that enquiries are ongoing.
