Woman, 33, suffers heart attack and dies at Pontins holiday park in Prestatyn

A woman has died after suffering a cardiac arrest at a holiday park.

North Wales Police and the Welsh Ambulance Service were called to Pontins holiday park in Prestatyn, Denbighshire at about 7.25am today.

Despite their efforts, a 33-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

A force statement said: "Police were called to Pontins holiday camp Prestatyn at 7.25am on Saturday, August 31 by ambulance control to a report of a 33-year-old female in cardiac arrest at the location.

"Police and ambulance attended the location but despite their best efforts the female was pronounced dead at the scene."

The force statement continued: "The death is not being treated as suspicious however a post mortem will be conducted in due course."

At least two ambulances and three police cars had been seen at the popular holiday park this morning.

Pontins, owned by Britannia Hotels, offers half-board and self-catering holidays featuring regular entertainment.
