Woman, 31, arrested after police called to house party 'multiple times' in lockdown

A woman has been arrested after police were called to the same house party in Bury, on multiple occasions.

Officers had to break up the party at a house Cottam Street, Elton, on Saturday evening.

People living on the street claimed that around 10 people were in attendance and that police attended three times in total.

A 31-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of breach of the peace and breach of Covid-19 restrictions.

Greater Manchester Police (GMP) also confirmed that they attended the house on more than one occasion.

A spokesman for GMP said: "At around 9.30pm on Saturday 4 April 2020, police were called to reports of non-compliance with Government restrictions at a property on Cottam Street, Bury.

"Officers attended and a group of people was dispersed.

"There was more than one attendance.

"A 31-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of breach of the peace and breach of Covid-19 restrictions."
