A woman was rushed to hospital on Sunday night with serious injuries following a horror collision involving a truck.
The pedestrian, aged in her 30s, was taken to the Mater Hospital after the incident on the N1 in Dublin.
Gardai attended the scene of the crash just beyond the Shantalla Road Bridge that occurred yesterday evening at approximately 8.45 pm, Dublin Live reports.
A garda spokesman said: "Gardaí in Santry attended the scene of a serious road traffic collision on the N1, inbound lane just beyond the Shantella Road Bridge that occurred yesterday evening, Sunday 5th September, 2021 at approximately 8.45pm.
"A female pedestrian (30s) was removed from the scene after being in a collision with a truck. She was taken to the Mater Hospital and is receiving treatment for serious injuries.
"Investigations ongoing."
