Woman, 30, airlifted to hospital after concerns for safety

A woman was airlifted to hospital after emergency services were called to a Runcorn street this morning.

Paramedics were deployed to Beaconsfield Road in Weston Point following a 999 call at 10.54am.

Police also attended, having been called just after 11.45am over concerns for a 30-year-old woman’s safety.

A North West Ambulance Service NWAS) spokesman said an ambulance, response vehicle, advanced paramedic and air ambulance were mobilised to the scene.

He told the ECHO the incident was related to a “private address”, and said the woman was “airlifted to hospital”.

An air ambulance had been seen by residents on standby in the grounds of the nearby Runcorn and District Foodbank on Russell Road.

It remained at the scene when the ECHO visited the area shortly after noon following reports of it being sighted on Russell Road.

Two police cars and a paramedic response vehicle remained on Beaconsfield Road.

A Cheshire police spokeswoman said: “Officers were called just after 11.45am on Tuesday, June 8, following reports of a concern for the safety of a woman on Beaconsfield Road.

“Police and ambulance swiftly attended and a 30-year-old woman was taken to hospital for treatment.
