Woman, 28, travels 82 miles for Tinder date only to be called 'fat' and dumped

A woman who spent £93 travelling 82 miles for a Tinder date claims she was called fat and dumped as soon as she arrived.

Jade Savage says she spent more than three hours travelling between Leicestershire and Peterborough for the date, only for it to be over in five minutes, the Mirror reports.

The 28-year-old claims, as soon as he saw her, her date told her she had "put some weight on" since their last meeting four weeks earlier.

And then, five minutes later, she says he dropped her back at the station when she told him he was rude for insulting her again.

Jade, who is a size 14, already had a bad start when she missed her coach to Peterborough from her home in Syston, Leicestershire, and had to get a train.

To make matters worse after she had been left at the station she had to wait an hour before she could get another train back.

The care support worker then set up a joke GoFundMe page - which has already reached its £90 target.

The mum-of-one told The Sun the pair had met a few times before and she was chatting to him on the phone when she arrived.

She explained: “That’s when he said, ‘F*** me, you have put some weight on haven’t you?’ I was like, ‘No, you can’t say that.’

"It was clear he wanted to call the whole thing off but I still hoped we could have a nice time so we went to his car.

“But he said, ‘I can say it, it’s a fact. You have put weight on, so therefore I can joke about it.’

How to get a reply on Tinder

“I called him a pr*** but he then went berserk and said, ‘You what, you think I’m a pr***?’ He drove me back to the station and told me I had put him in a bad mood and that I had to go home.”

In total, Jade spent £30 on taxis, £12 on a missed coach, £46 on the train and another £5 on wine to drown her sorrows.
