Woman, 28, charged over 'disturbance' in Hamilton after police swoop on property

A woman has been arrested and charged after an alleged disturbance in Hamilton last night.

Emergency services swooped on Midstonehall Gardens in the South Lanarkshire town just after 11pm.

The nature of the incident is not yet known but police confirmed no-one was injured.

The 28-year-old woman is set to appear before Hamilton Sheriff Court tomorrow.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “Around 11.20pm last night police were called to an alleged disturbance within a property in Midstonehall Gardens in Hamilton.

“Emergency services attended and a 28-year-old woman was arrested and charged in connection with the incident.

“She is due before Hamilton Sheriff Court on Tuesday and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
