A woman whose fiancé is almost 20 years her senior says people constantly mistake him for her dad. Emily Downing, 26, says she has found true love with partner Michael Justin, 45 - and doesn't care what trolls or critics think, Birmingham Live reports.
The travel nurse, who often posts videos about her relationship to Tik Tok, says in one viral clip: "You get five years added to your life every time someone asks if your fiancé is your dad." She then shares pictures of the couple with the caption: 'I'm going to live forever.'
She added: "I know we've been together two years now, and were engaged. But I'm starting to think this is a little weird, don't you think?"
"No it's not weird, what are you going to sit here and think to yourself well in twenty years I'm going to think this is weird," responded her partner. "You go with how you feel, you react, you love, and you love hard people."
"You love hard no matter what," agreed Emily. The pair received plenty of support from TikTok users as they rushed to give their own views.
As the clip went viral, one shared: "Age really is just a number. You guys seem genuinely happy and in love! And you are a gorgeous couple."
And a second commented with: "Some people don’t realize that it’s nice to have a man that’s mature & established & not still acting like they’re 16."
