A young nurse said she is accused of being a gold digger for dating a man who is old enough to be her dad.
Emily Downing, 26, said trolls are quick to judge her relationship with male model Michael who is 19 years older.
The pair told TikTok fans how they met at a yoga class three years ago and are now looking forward to tying the knot.
But Emily faces criticism from keyboard warriors who fail to see past the age gap and accuse her of having ulterior motives when it comes to her silver-haired beau.
"You get 5 years added to your life every time someone asks if your fiance is your dad," she hit back on TikTok.
Emily said her parents love and support her relationship with Michael and explained she makes her own money "contrary to what people think."
The health professional regularly posts about her job but is still accused on dating Michael "just for the money" and being "focused on his wallet."
Opening up about the couple's finances, Michael said: “Separate when dating and then joint account when you get married or still separate account.
“You’ve got to do you, I’ve got to do me and it makes for a healthy relationship.”
The couple, of Boston, USA, each have millions of likes on TikTok where they share cute clips of their holidays to the Caribbean, exercise sessions and Grey's Anatomy role play.
Commenting on their travels, Emily gushed "I love our life" while Michael replied "same baby girl."
Some were keen to judge with one commenting "thought u were her dad... yikes."
Another sceptic wrote: "I think she’s being forced to make these videos."
A third added: "Unfortunately before you know it you'll be wiping his chin and changing his diaper."
While the majority complimented the "gorgeous" couple and noted how happy they look together.
"You seem like the perfect couple. I love your videos and seeing you two together. Live your best life guys," one person wrote.
"He might be older but if you're happy that's all that matters," another penned.
"You're gorgeous and he's handsome by the way. Good luck."
A third added: "I don’t get it… you two look amazing together. Michael looks as young as you! Your are a stunning couple."
