A woman was rushed to hospital last night after allegedly being attacked within a Gorbals flat.
The 23-year-old had been in the property in Snowdon Place when it is claimed she was assaulted at around 8pm.
A 31-year-old woman has been arrested in connection with the alleged incident.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "At about 8pm last night a 23-year-old woman was assaulted within a flat on Snowdon Place.
"She was taken by ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow where she is being treated for serious injuries.
"Hospital staff describe her condition as serious.
"A 31-year-old woman has been arrested."
