A woman had beginner's luck after she played her first ever online Lotto game while killing time on a "boring" caravan holiday and bagged £1million.
Jodie Scullion was sitting in her caravan on a wet campsite in Somerset when she decided to play an Instant Win Game on her mobile phone.
The 22-year-old paid £5 to play the £1M Run for Your Money game on Monday, October 28 and scooped the jackpot.
Today Jodie, a mortgage underwriter, picked up her mega-cheque at a presentation in Birmingham Botanical Gardens.
She said: "I've recently bought a caravan at Brean Sands.
"The rest of my family have caravans at the same site and we were down there for the last break of the year before it closed for the winter.
"It wasn't great weather and I was a bit bored, sitting alone in my caravan so decided to put £10 on to my National Lottery account to play one of the games.
"I just scrolled through all the different games and saw the £1M Run For Your Money prize and thought I'd have a go."
After playing the game and winning, Jodie dashed to mum Karen, 59, and 61-year-old dad John's caravan next door to share the news of her huge win.
She said: "Dad checked it, checked it again and after the third check told me to stay calm.
"I then phoned the National Lottery to check if I had won. By this time two of my sisters had appeared to see what was going on.
"Dad told everyone to keep calm as I was on the phone because he knew that the whole family would start screaming and crying all at the same time if I actually had won £1million - and we did.
"We then just all sat there crying then laughing, then crying again and just talked for hours about what I could do with the money."
Jodie, who lives with her parents and four sisters in Northfield, Birmingham, says she's going to buy her own house and pay off the rest of her caravan before whisking her family away on a luxury holiday.
She said: "I can't believe I won the first time I played this game.
"It's unbelievable, it will set me up for life. I can help my parents who have always looked after me and treat myself.
"As someone who works with mortgages it's unreal that I'm going to buy my own house without a loan. For someone my age, that is incredible."
Jodie is the latest lucky Brummie to become an overnight millionaire after Birmingham was named the luckiest city in the UK.
Of the 5,500 millionaires made since it launched in 1994, 168 are from the Birmingham area.
That is streets ahead of the 133 from second-luckiest Belfast and 125 in third-placed Glasgow.
