Loren Smith

Chicago police are asking for help locating a woman who went missing from Austin on the West Side.

Loren Smith, 21, was last seen Friday leaving her home in the 300 block of North Central Avenue, according to a missing persons alert from Chicago police. She now may be in the area of 54th Street and Michigan Avenue.

Smith is described by police as being 5-feet-5, 165 pounds, with black hair, brown eyes and a dark-brown complexion.

She was last seen wearing a black long sleeved T-shirt, black leggings, brown shoes and carrying a brown purse, police said. Although she is wearing glasses in her photo she was not wearing them when she went missing.

Anyone with information about her whereabouts is asked to call Area North detectives at 312-744-8266.
