A woman has died in a fatal car crash at Uleybury, north of Adelaide, becoming the 54th road death on the South Australia's roads this year.

SA Police said the woman's Toyota sedan veered off Uley Road and crashed into a tree about 10pm on Thursday.

The driver and sole occupant of the car, a 21-year-old Uleybury woman, died at the scene, police said.

Police closed local roads for several hours while major crash investigators examined the scene of the crash.

The roads have since been reopened.

It is the 54th death on the state's roads this year, compared with 33 at the same time last year.

Meanwhile, police said a man allegedly crashed into a parked car and fence on Montacute Road at Rostrevor, in Adelaide's east, about 8:45pm on Thursday.

The driver, a 33-year-old Campbelltown man, was taken to the Royal Adelaide Hospital with minor injuries.

He was reported for driving without due care and driving under the influence, and will appear in court at a later date.
