Manor Road in Stoke Newington
(Picture: Google Maps)Detectives are investigating after a woman had a “pillowcase or cloth” violently shoved over her head in east London.
The victim, a 20-year-old woman, told police that she had been approached from behind by the suspect, who covered her vision before assaulting her.
The woman was taken to hospital for treatment to minor injuries.
Police said the assault had taken place on Manor Road, in Stoke Newington, at around 6.30pm on Thursday.
The force added they were carrying out a number of enquiries and are reviewing CCTV cameras in the local area.
There have been no arrests.
