A young woman has died after a horror two-car on the A96 in Aberdeenshire .
Emergency services were called to the scene of the serious crash near between Keith and Huntly at around 7.24am this morning.
Three men, aged 22, 22 and 48, in a grey Volvo car were taken to hospital with minor injuries.
The 20-year-old female driver of a silver Dacia car died at the scene.
The A96 road remains closed both directions and is expected to remain closed for some time.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "Our thoughts at this difficult time are with the friends and family of those involved"
Traffic Scotland are warning motorists about the crash and the subsequent delays.
They wrote on Twitter: "Drivers are advised to use an alternative route".
An investigation into the cause of the crash is under way, with police urging anyone with information to come forward.
Anyone with dashcam footage is also urged to contact officers on 101 quoting incident 1259 of June 30, 2019.
