A teenager has died suddenly in an "unexplained" tragedy in Manchester city centre.
The 19-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene in New Wakefield Street at around 9.30pm on Thursday after police and paramedics responded to emergency calls.
It is unclear how she died.
A witness said emergency services were seen going into the Unite student flats, reports the Manchester Evening News.
Pictures from the scene show three police cars and three ambulances in attendance outside Unite's Artisan Heights flats.
In another photo police cars are seen rushing to the scene.
Greater Manchester Police said the death is currently being treated as "unexplained" and enquiries are ongoing.

A force spokesperson said: "Officers were called just before 9.30pm last night to a report of a sudden death on New Wakefield Street in Manchester.
"Emergency services attended and a 19-year-old woman was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
"The death is currently being treated as unexplained whilst officers carry out enquiries.
"A report is being prepared for HM Coroner."
Unite Students currently houses 603 Manchester students in its 'Artisan Heights' facility on New Wakefield Street, located within walking distance of both Manchester Metropolitan University and the University of Manchester.
The £82.5 million development is a 32-storey tower block sitting adjacent to the river Medlock.
