Woman, 18, charged with murder of Irish dancer Adrian Murphy in London

Police in the UK have charged a women aged in her teens with the murder of Irish dancer Adrian Murphy.

Mr Murphy, 43, who was originally from Co Kilkenny, was found dead at an apartment in Battersea, south London in June last year.

His flat had been ransacked while he was unconscious and the Metropolitan Police said property, including laptops, mobile phones and cash, were stolen.

Police also charged her in relation to a separate incident in Walthamstow, in north east London last May, MyLondon reports.

Diana Cristea, 18, of Barnet was arrested today (January 14) and has been charged with one count of murder in relation to Adrian Murphy.

She is also charged with one count of poisoning -  administering a substance to endanger life or inflict grievous bodily harm against a 40-year-old man, the victim of the May Walthamstow incident.

The teen is facing two counts of theft in relation to both victims and two counts of fraud by false representation in relation to both victims.

She will appear at Wimbledon Magistrates’ Court today.

Joel Osei, 25, of no fixed residence, was previously arrested on Thursday, October 24, 2019 and the following day was charged with two counts of poisoning – administering a substance to endanger life/inflict GBH in relation to both incidents.

He was also charged with two counts of theft in relation to both incidents and six counts of fraud by false representation in relation to both victims.

Osei was subsequently charged with murder on December 5, 2019.

He has been remanded in custody and will appear at the Old Bailey on February 17.
