Woman, 18, charged after boy struck by car on Lanarkshire road

An 18-year-old woman has been charged after a hit and run on a Scots street.

As we reported, a 12-year-old boy was left with a broken leg after being struck while crossing Carnwath Road, where it meets Carnwath Lane, in Carluke, Lanarkshire on October 27.

He was treated at Wishaw General Hospital after the incident.

A Police Scotland statement reads: "Police Scotland can confirm an 18-year-old woman has been charged with road traffic offences after a 12-year-old boy was struck by a car and injured on Carnwath Road in Carluke on Tuesday 27 October, 2020. "

A report has been submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
