Wolves winger Adama Traore says Man City superstar 'plays like him'

Wolverhampton Wanderers speedster Adama Traore believes Manchester City star Raheem Sterling is among the few players in the Premier League compares to his all-action style.

After a few years of failing to live up his potential at Aston Villa and Middlesbrough, Traore has finally shown the world what he is capable of and has proved one of the most dangerous players in the English top-flight this season.

The 24-year-old has finally found a final product to go alongside his blistering speed and significant upper body strength and has helped fire Wolves into the upper echelons of the table and into the last-16 of the Europa League.

Traore has bagged six goals and 10 assists this season and City have felt the full brunt of what he can do on two separate occasions, after the team from the Black Country did the double over Pep Guardiola’s side.

The Spaniard scored both goals on the counter-attack to deal the Blues a shock 2-0 defeat at the Etihad in October and then grabbed a goal and an assist in the reverse fixture over Christmas as Wolves won 3-2.

There aren’t many players in the world, let alone the Premier League, who can keep up with Traore when he’s going full tilt but he does admit that one City start comes close.

When asked by Wolves’ official website if there were any players that are close to his playing style, Traore replied: “[Wilfried] Zaha and [Raheem] Sterling maybe, but I am not like them, more like they are like me."
