Wolves vs West Ham
Premier League 2018-19
Venue: London Stadium
Date: Tuesday, January 29, 2019
Kick-off: 7:45pm GMT
West Ham are seeking to avoid a third straight defeat as they face a tough away test against Wolves on Tuesday night.
After beating Arsenal 1-0 in the Premier League on January 12, the Hammers fell to a 2-0 defeat at Bournemouth before a shock FA Cup exit at AFC Wimbledon on Saturday.
Manuel Pellegrini admitted that the nature of the cup defeat left him ashamed, and the Hammers must not try and stop the rot against Nuno Espirito Santo's Wolves side, who are riding high in eighth position.
Wolves team news
Willy Boly serves the final game of his three-match ban. The defender was sent off against Manchester City earlier this month and has missed games against Leicester and Shrewsbury.
Rui Patricio, Raul Jimenez, Jonny and Diogo Jota are expected to return after Saturday's 2-2 FA Cup draw at Shrewsbury.
Provisional squad: Patricio, Ruddy, Norris, Doherty, Dendoncker, Bennett, Coady, Gibbs-White, Jonny, Saiss, Neves, Costa, Moutinho, Vinagre, Bonatini, Traore, Jimenez, Jota.
West Ham team news and predicted line-up
Marko Arnautovic is expected to be back after signing a new contract.
The Austria forward missed the last two matches, defeats at Bournemouth in the Premier League and AFC Wimbledon in the FA Cup, amid speculation of a move to China.
Fellow striker Lucas Perez is out with an ankle knock while Jack Wilshere, Fabian Balbuena, Andriy Yarmolenko, Manuel Lanzini, Winston Reid and Carlos Sanchez are still injured.
Provisional squad: Fabianski, Zabaleta, Diop, Ogbonna, Cresswell, Rice, Noble, Anderson, Nasri, Antonio, Arnautovic, Adrian, Fredericks, Masuaku, Obiang, Snodgrass, Diangana, Hernandez, Carroll.
West Ham predicted XI: Fabianski; Zabaleta, Diop, Ogbonna, Cresswell; Noble, Rice; Antonio, Sasri, Anderson; Arnautovic
Score prediction: Wolves 1-1 West Ham
Much depends on whether Arnautovic returns for West Ham, with Andy Carroll looking off the pace leading the line.
Wolves have been inconsistent in January, beating Liverpool in the FA Cup while also losing to Crystal Palace at home.
