Wolves vs Man City: Premier League prediction, team news, live stream, TV channel, odds - preview

Wolves begin a nightmare festive back-to-back as they welcome champions Manchester City to Molineux on Boxing Day.

Coming just 45 hours before taking the trip to Premier League leaders Liverpool, Nuno Espirito Santo has a team selection conundrum to solve.

City, meanwhile, gave their faint title hopes a huge boost with a win over Leicester City, though Liverpool will have been grateful of their own lead not being cut.

Pep Guardiola will also have his work cut out juggling his players with high-flying Sheffield United coming to town 48 hours.

The game is on Friday, December 27 with kick-off at 7.45pm GMT.

Team news and lineups

Wolves: Nuno Espirito Santo reported no new injury problems ahead of his side's home game against the champions.

Nuno could make some changes on Friday night, with a trip to Liverpool coming less than 45 hours later. The likes of Patrick Cutrone, Pedro Neto, Ruben Vinagre, Ryan Bennett and Max Kilman are options.

Midfielder Morgan Gibbs-White (back) continues his recovery, along with centre-back Willy Boly (fractured leg) and Bruno Jordao (ankle).

Manchester City: City will again be without playmaker David Silva and defender John Stones for the trip to Molineux.

Silva is still not back in training since a blow to the leg in the Manchester derby earlier this month and Stones has missed four games with a hamstring injury.

Striker Sergio Aguero is again set to be on the bench as he returns from a thigh problem. Centre-back Aymeric Laporte and winger Leroy Sane are long-term absentees with knee injuries.

How we think the sides could line up…

Wolves: Patricio, Dendoncker, Coady, Saiss, Doherty, Neves, Moutinho, Castro, Adama, Jimenez, Jota

Manchester City: Ederson; Walker, Fernandinho, Otamendi, Mendy; De Bruyne, Rodri, Gundogan; Mahrez, Jesus, Sterling
