Wolves to announce £30m permanent signing of Raul Jimenez on four-year deal

Wolves are poised to confirm the £30million club record signing of Raul Jimenez on Thursday.

On-loan Benfica striker Jimenez has been a huge success with 15 goals this season.

Ambitious seventh-placed Wolves now intend to announce his permanent signing ahead of Sunday's FA Cup semi-final with Watford at Wembley.

On Wednesday evening, the club tweeted a teaser video of Jimenez with his arms stretched out and a No.9 on his back, with 04/04/19.

Mexican hitman Jimenez, 27, has agreed a four-year deal after the best season of his career.

He has struck up a deadly partnership with Diogo Jota and the duo have been involved in all Wolves' last seven goals.

Jimenez also netted in the international break for Mexico in a 3-1 win over Chile.

Now Wolves are expected to confirm his permanent arrival after he smashed 12 Premier League goals and three in the FA Cup.

Boss Nuno Espirito Santo said last week: “We are very happy with Raul and his performances, so when things are done, there will be an announcement.”

He will displace Jonny and Adama Traore as Wolves' record buy after the duo cost £18m.

As well as helping Wolves on the pitch, Jimenez has huge marketing appeal back in South America with over 3m Twitter followers and a famous actress girlfriend Daniela Basso.
