Wolves suffer triple injury blow as Bruno Lage delivers team news update ahead of Liverpool clash

Wolves will be without Romain Saiss, Max Kilman and Nelson Semedo when they travel to face Liverpool this Sunday.

The Reds welcome Bruno Lage's side in hope of clinching the Premier League title over rivals Manchester City, although they rely on the Manchester club dropping points at home to Aston Villa. A single point currently separates them at the top of the table.

Wolves are currently eighth in the table but have not one any of their last five league matches. Daniel Podence has recovered from a foot injury and could be handed minutes, but Lage will be without three first team players.

The Wolves boss told the media on Friday: “Just Saiss at the moment. He doesn’t recover from his injury, so Saiss, Semedo has a big injury, Max also out. Daniel is coming. Nothing new, just those things.”

Liverpool have injury concerns of their own as Mohamed Salah, Virgil van Dijk, Joe Gomez and Fabinho all missed the win over Wolves midweek through injury. However, only Fabinho and Gomez were absent from training on Friday.

Jurgen Klopp said: ‘"Joe Gomez has good news. We wanted a second scan. (It is) just a knock. My preferred solution would be they (Salah and Van Dijk) all could play at the weekend for rhythm reasons, stuff like this, or at least could be on the bench and then we can bring them on or not.

"Mo doesn’t want to take any risks, no doubt about that but it looks good."

The Reds' title decider kicks off at 4pm on Sunday as all league games get underway at the exact same time. The clash at Anfield, as well as City's game against Villa, will both be shown on Sky Sports.
