Wolves 'stance on Adama Traore sale' and more Man City transfer rumours

Wolves are open to selling Adama Traore for the right price this summer amid links to Manchester City - according to reports.

Traore has been backed to leave the Midlands side this summer on the back of an impressive Premier League campaign. The explosive winger was praised by both Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp and City boss Pep Guardiola.

The 24-year-old was reportedly a target for the Blues after Leroy Sane's departure to Bayern Munich but MEN Sport understand he was not on their shortlist as the club completed a deal for Valencia star Ferran Torres.

Speculation refuses to die down with The Daily Mail suggesting Wolves are open to the idea of selling Traore this summer, provided their valuation of the former Barcelona star is met.

Traore started only five of Wolves' last nine league games following the June restart and would cost around £70million.

Given City view Torres as a like-for-like replacement for Sane, a huge money move for Traore is unlikely. Guardiola is focused on improving the club's defence and negotiations for Kalidou Koulibaly are ongoing.

Elsewhere, reports in France claim City have joined the race to sign Valencia defender Jose Gaya.

Gaya could follow in Torres' footsteps in leaving the Mestalla this summer amid financial difficulties at the La Liga side.

ParisUnited claim City are one of the many clubs interested in signing the defender but face competition from Paris Saint-Germain as well as Barcelona and Real Madrid.

Joao Cancelo has been used at left-back in recent weeks and Angelino will return on the back on an impressive loan spell at RB Leipzig meaning departures would be likely should City pursue another left sided defender.
