Wolves Nuno Espirito Santo boss makes admission about Liverpool's Diogo Jota

Liverpool forward Diogo Jota faces a reunion with his old club Wolverhampton Wanderers this weekend.

Jota made a £41million switch in September and has made a fine start to life at Anfield.

His form at Wolves has been improved upon in his early spell under Jurgen Klopp.

He goes into Sunday's home clash against his former employers boasting nine goals already for the Reds.

And ahead of the game, his old boss Nuno Espirito Santo believes the switch to Merseyside was the "right place" for the Portuguese forward.

Nuno said: "We are proud and happy that Diogo is doing well.

"He is a fantastic player and fantastic boy.

"He was with us so much time and we shared so many things which will never be forgotten – what we shared together and worked together on to progress.

"Now, he is at Liverpool, he is doing well and is at the right place, and now he is an opponent for us.

"We know his characteristics, but we are going to face Liverpool, so we have to be aware of all the quality and talent they all have."

Jota, who turns 24 today, will be hoping he can continue his rich scoring form when his old pals arrive on Sunday night.

Jota has scored in four of his last five Premier League outings, with strikes against Brighton, Leicester, West Ham and Sheffield United.
