Steve Bull reckons Wolves' strike-force will “frighten” defenders this season after they splashed £35million on Portuguese wonderkid Fabio Silva.
Wanderers, who came seventh last term, broke their transfer record for a sixth time under Chinese owners Fosun for Porto teenage Silva.
The starlet,18, is the youngest League starter and scorer in Porto’s history.
Wolves ' 306-goal great Bull cannot wait to see the teenager in action for Nuno Espirito Santo’s men, especially if paired with Raul Jimenez, who notched 27 times last term.
“It’s exciting,” said Bull.“I’ve seen some clips of Silva and he looks sharp.
“It’s a lot of money, he’s just got to come here and do a job now.
“He’ll have to bid his time with how Raul has played, but now Nuno has the option to play two strikers.
“The two of them together could really frighten defenders as well and be a proper force.
“It’s exciting times.”
Wolves' ambitions were questioned when they sold Matt Doherty to Spurs.
But they have since splashed the cash on Silva and Lyon's left-back and recent Champions League semi-finalist Fernando Marcal,31.
Wolves are also on course to snap up Porto midfielder Vitor Ferreira.
Bull added: “We needed a bit more experience, so Marcal is a welcome addition.
“It’s just nice to see a few fresh faces.
“Even I was getting a bit frustrated but Wolves do things cleverly to be fair to them and once the players are in, it’s brilliant.”
