Adama Traore will return to his scintillating best form in 2021, according to Wolves boss Nuno Espirito Santo.
New Spanish international Traore got six goals and nine assists in all competitions last season.
His heroics helped Wolves finish seventh and reach the quarter-finals of the Europa League.
They also sparked major interest in the flyer,24, who is yet to sign a new contract at Molinuex.
But this term the star has not even nailed down a regular starting place under boss Nuno, who has deployed him in a variety of positions.
These include starting the season deputising at right wing-back after Matt Doherty's sale.
But Traore shone attacking when he came off the bench to help Wolves come from behind to beat Chelsea last week.
Traore is now pushing to start at Burnley tonight where he will aim to break his duck this season after no goals or assists.
Nuno believes the star is ready to shine again after going away to play five games for Spain already this season, including when he tested positive for coronavirus in September.
Molineux boss Nuno assessed: “I am positive he is going to return to his top level again.
“I think he is doing well.
“He started the season in a different position as a full-back I recall.
“Then he went to the national team and had a problem on his ankle.
“International breaks didn't help him.
“He lost a lot of time in terms of preparation but he is getting better.
“He has a lot of things to do to improve but he is committed.
“The game is not all about goals, the game is about a lot of aspects.
“He is a good player, he will get there.”
Nuno was hopeful earlier this season of nailing Traore to fresh terms after signing him from Middlesbrough in August 2018 for £18million.
Talks stalled but Nuno insists he expects fresh negotiations to secure a resolution with the star's contract up in 2023.
He added: “Normally things will go with dialogue and everything will be OK with Adama.
“He is committed because of the actions I see everyday - his behaviour and the attitude he has in the training sessions and matches.”
