Wolves boss Nuno Espirito Santo responds to calls for him to replace Maurizio Sarri at Chelsea

Nuno Espírito Santo has refused to be drawn on speculation linking him with a summer move to Chelsea.

The Wolverhampton Wanderers manager has been linked with a summer switch to west London as speculation continues to surround Maurizio Sarri.

The Italian's long term future at Stamford Bridge appears to be in doubt, meaning that the Blues could be looking for a replacement at the end of the season.

Santo is one of the hottest managerial prospects in Europe after the job that he's done with Wolves.

After taking over in the summer of 2017, the 45-year-old has managed to guide the Black County side to the Premier League in their first season, before seeing them to an FA Cup semi-final and a near-certain top half finish in the top flight.

He's a manager who's tipped for the top, but when questioned on links with a move to Chelsea, Santo insisted that he is more than happy at Molineux.

Responding to a question linking him with Chelsea, Santo said: “No comments, it doesn’t mean anything. Nothing, I am here speaking with you."

Asked if he is happy at Molineux, he said: “I consider myself a happy person, yes.

“Yes, with the problems and difficulties that are involved but at the same time, it is a moment of joy, especially total dedication to what I must do and what we must do to keep on becoming better and growing. Focused.”
