Wolves boss Nuno Espirito Santo identifies the 'unique' challenge of Leeds United

Wolves boss Nuno Espirito Santo has spoken about the 'unique' challenge his side will face on Monday evening when they tackle Leeds United in the Premier League.

The Whites have made quite an impression since returning to the Premier League for the first time since 2004, drawing with Manchester City prior to the international break and losing just one of their four matches.

Wolverhampton Wanderers, meanwhile, have struggled for consistency this season, shipping four in a defeat to West Ham United and also losing in their clash with Manchester City.

That gives them plenty to improve upon when they return to league action and Santo is under no illusion about the difficulties his side will face at Elland Road.

Leeds' aggressive style of play both with and without the ball is something their Premier League opponents have found difficult to deal with, including defending champions Liverpool, though they emerged 4-3 victors on the opening weekend.

Wolves, having shown their defensive vulnerability in the aforementioned defeat to West Ham, will certainly need to be at their best and Santo believes it presents a 'unique' challenge.

"The way that they defend and their aggressiveness in the way they react to the loss of the ball, it is almost unique in our day," he told Sky Sports.

"To compare it to what we do, it is different, for sure, but you cannot change your idea based on who you are going to face. It is a confrontation of ideas on the pitch."

United's clash with Wolves is set for Monday evening and Bielsa's side then have a swift turnaround before their clash with Aston Villa on Friday.
