Wolverhampton paper promotes print in vodcasts

The Wolverhampton Express & Star is pioneering vodcasts to stimulate its website users into buying the paper's print version. Assistant editor Roy Williams is videoed holding up news pages from the paper and reads out some of the interesting headlines. There's also a segment with the sports editor Tim Walters providing highlights of the back pages. Williams told holdthefrontpage: "It occurred to us that we provide BBC local TV with our front pages, but we don't do anything like that ourselves." The new service comes ahead of relaunch of the paper's later this month. (Via Express & Star)
