Woj: Patrick Williams out for season with left wrist dislocation

Just as the Chicago Bulls are off to a 4-1 start to the 2021-22 season, the injury bug has hit.

On Wednesday, Shams Charania of The Athletic reported that Zach LaVine suffered a small ligament tear in the thumb on his non-shooting hand as LaVine continues to play through the injury.

On Friday, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reported that Patrick Williams will miss the rest of the regular season with a left wrist dislocation.

Per Wojnarowski, Williams suffered a perilunate dislocation, which head coach Billy Donovan called a “pretty significant wrist injury” with hopes that he could potentially return come playoff time.

Without Williams in the lineup, look for Javonte Green to step into the starting lineup, who started three preseason games in Williams’ absence.

In five games this season, Williams averaged 6.6 points and 2.2 rebounds in 25 minutes per game.
