Woj: Kevin Durant will sign 4-year, $164 million deal with the Brooklyn Nets

After months of chatter, Kevin Durant has made his free-agency decision and he didn’t even get to announce his Instagram account for “The Boardroom” as originally planned. Denying Durant a “The Decision”-type of opportunity, Adrian Wojnarowski reported via tweets that Durant will sign at four-year $164 million deal with the Brooklyn Nets.

Rumors throughout the season included Durant partnering with Kyrie Irving with a new team and that appears to be coming to fruition, with Wojnarowski reporting as being offered a four-year $141 million contract with the Nets. But to round out what they hope will become an Eastern Conference powerhouse, DeAndre Jordan is reportedly included in Brooklyn’s rebuilding efforts.

Wojnarowski tweeted that Durant’s people will neither confirm nor deny his information and that details will be be announced via the the aforementioned Instagram account at 6 p.m. ET.

Reports swirled on Saturday that Warriors general manager Bob Myers, along with Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson, were headed to New York to pitch Durant on staying with the Warriors. No subsequent reports have been released about the status of the meeting.
